DOE report

Morgan Township Elementary School has enjoyed relatively high ISTEP+ performance scores in all tested academic content areas.  We continually exceed the state testing averages by well over 20%. Although we have seen success, we still continue to work hard to improve the academic success of all of our students. We regularly analyze data to inform our instructional needs and make changes to our program. Staff participates in multiple professional development opportunities that are both district mandated and teacher driven. Our early release schedule includes time for professional growth opportunities.  Most recently, our staff took part in the Google Level One certification training to enhance our use of technology in the classroom setting.

Areas where we continue to concentrate our efforts include math problem solving, literary text analysis, STEM opportunities, and non-fiction text structures. Our goal is to teach students how to think and one day become productive members of society.
